Book reviews play an important role in letting readers know in advance something about a work they may be interested in.
Additionally, the compilation of reviews in our “Muskoka by the Book” section shows how novelists, historians, biographers, journalists, non-fiction writers, photographers, artists, and map-makers have found so many lenses through which to differently view and describe the Muskoka experience.
These thumbnail reviews by J. Patrick Boyer, beginning with an initial half-dozen or so, will be added to the website on a continuing basis. “I won’t want to stop,” he says, “until we have reviewed every book about Muskoka, Georgian Bay, Parry Sound, and Algonquin Park.”
